At Broadwater Primary School, we understand the importance of starting primary school. To help you along we have included all the information you will need when you choose a school for your child.

Admission to Nursery:

We offer full time and part-time nursery places for 3 hours in morning or afternoon sessions from Monday to Friday (9:00am - 12:00pm and 12:15pm - 3:15pm). Children are normally able to join the nursery class in the term following their third birthday.  We aim to offer children in nursery at least three terms of nursery education prior to entry into reception classes of a mainstream school.  Children who have turned three between 1st September and 31st December may be offered a place in the Nursery from the following January. Children who turn 3 between January and 31st March may be offered a place in Nursery from the summer term.

We do offer limited places for the 30 hours extended offer. To check your eligibility please follow these links:

If you are eligible for this offer, please contact our school office, either by phone on 0208 672 3062  or by email on for more information.

Parents are also given the opportunity to pay for additional sessions (15 hours term time only) subject to availability.

Generally you should register your child for a nursery place well in advance of when they are eligible to start.  We take applications from when children are born. Parents wishing their child to attend the nursery must complete an application form clearly indicating their preferred option. Every effort is made to accommodate their wishes.

To obtain an application form, please contact the school office either by phone on 0208 672 3062 or by email on The school will endeavour to inform parents by letter of the outcome of their application at least one term before admission.
