Information

We offer a wide range of clubs at Broadwater, both during and after the school day.  Where possible clubs are offered free of charge, while other clubs are offered at a subsidised rate.  No pupil will be excluded from a club for financial reasons - please see Mr Madden for more information if you require assistance.

Archery Club with Mr Madden uses age appropriate equipment with suction cups rather than sharp arrows.  We are expecting very high levels of interest, so children will be allocated a week of sessions during morning playtimes.

Our ever popular Key Stage 2 Dance Club continues on Mondays with Mr Madden.  At the club, children will learn routines in a wide range of styles as well as developing and sharing their own dances.

Pupils from Years 5 and 6 also help Ms Hilliard to run Key Stage 1 Dance Club on Fridays, teaching simple dance routines to younger pupils in a fun and friendly environment.

Cycling Club for pupils in Year 5 is provided by the Wandsworth Road Safety Team and trains pupils how to ride safely and take care of their bikes.  All children completing the six week course will receive their cycling proficiency certificate.

Mr Madden runs Multiskills Club for pupils in Years 1 and 2.  The club features a range of fun co-operative games aimed at developing agility, balance and co-ordination.

We will continue to run several football clubs as these have continued to prove popular.  Coach Dereck runs our Year 5 and 6 football squad for members of the school team, while Mr Madden runs training for the girls' team.  For Key Stage 2 children of all abilities Mr Cornish and The Chelsea FC Foundation run clubs after school on Mondays and Fridays.

Box-Fit Club is run by Coach Simeon and helps children to develop strength and fitness through a range of fun and challenging boxing-themed exercises.

Ms Weber and Ms Ostrowski run Choir for pupils in years 5 and 6 on Wednesday lunchtimes.

Golf Club uses child friendly tri-golf equipment.  Children will learn how to put and drive the ball through a series of fun games.

Bandworx takes place after school on Wednesdays.

Coach Charence runs Basketball Club for pupils in Key Stage 2 after school on Wednesdays.

Hapkido is a martial art from Korea with similarities to karate and judo.  Our after school club is run by Master Tim from the School of Korean Martial Arts.

Whitagu is a Korean sport, similar to badminton but using two table-tennis style bats.  It is a fun game that helps children to develop co-ordination on both sides of the body.  Master Sung runs the club on Thursday lunchtimes.

Table Tennis Club with DK Coaching was one of our most popular clubs last term, it takes place after school on Thursdays.

And Tennis Club will also continue for players of all standards on Tuesday afternoons for pupils in Years 3 and 4 and on Fridays for Years 5 and 6 with Mr Madden.
